OKANA has been described as an island oasis in the middle of OKC due to the elevated views of the 4.5-acre outdoor waterpark lagoon with its sandy beaches. "After more than five years in the making, visiting OKANA and seeing guests laughing, exploring, and enjoying the space exactly as we imagined was unforgettable. We designed the resort to spark constant moments of discovery, where no matter where you are, you can see where you’ve been and what’s waiting ahead. Bavarian Blast Indoor Waterpark is Michigan’s Biggest Indoor Waterpark and offers a variety of guest experiences, from the 18 waterslides to the state’s first swim-up bar! “Knowing that we have created a space where everyone feels welcome is one of the most rewarding experiences we could imagine. It’s a place where multigenerational families can linger for hours—or even days—simply enjoying each other’s company and making memories together,” explained ADCI Partner and Architect, Bradley Servin. Leading edge can be awarded to individuals or parks for creativity in the development of new themes, facilities, programs, services or operational concepts in the water attractions industry; and to suppliers who have developed new concepts, products or services to the benefit of park members, their customers and the water attractions industry. It is voted on by the WWA board of directors.
