The vision for the new OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark in Oklahoma City was to turn the scenic riverfront into a destination all its own, both for local visitors and for tourists from around the world.

This 11-story luxury resort and spa features:

  • a two-story indoor waterpark with a wave pool, action rivers, an indoor/outdoor pool and waterslides
  • a family entertainment center
  • a conference center with two ballrooms
  • 11 restaurants
  • an outdoor adventure lagoon with water slides, a sand beach and an inflatable obstacle course

The campus includes a 36,000-SF retail marketplace with studios and boutique shops for Native American artists and retailers. This space ties the existing First Americans Museum and will have an uninterrupted view of the courtyard and the Hall of People. Combined with the museum, the OKANA development hopes to make Oklahoma City a world-wide hub for indigenous history, culture and commerce.
