Lake Delton's Police Department serves a year-round population of approximately 2,800 and the over 4 million visitors that come to the Dells/Delton tourist area each year. Pressing need for modernized facilities and more space prompted the Village of Lake Delton to move forward on a new law enforcement building. To attain the greatest synergy and service delivery efficiencies, the Village determined the best approach was to locate police and fire/EMS services in close proximity to one another, creating an emergency services campus environment.

The new, state-of-the-art facility adjacent to the existing fire/EMS complex will provide offices, interview rooms, staff locker rooms, meeting and conference rooms, ample storage, indoor fleet parking, forensic lab, work areas and other support spaces essential to modern police operations.

Thoroughly understanding the needs of department officers and staff, security considerations and work flows unique to law enforcement operations drove the floor plan and building configuration. At the same time, attention to aesthetics will enhance the work environment, providing tangible benefits to officers and staff, while also creating a positive impression to those vacationers and area residents who may visit the station.
