Senior Interior Designer

We need an innovative superstar to join our growing Interior Design Studio in Madison, Wisconsin

Our interior designers are creative and dynamic thinkers who provide fresh, imaginative concepts that align with the client's goals and support the architecture and operations of the spaces they are designing. ADCI's interior designers are also savvy and aware of current trends regarding materials, colors and overall aesthetics. Senior Interior Designers conceptualize, plan and source interiors materials and furnishings for primarily commercial projects. Works closely with director of interior design, project architect and client to ensure concepts and themes are successfully executed. Applies sustainable design strategies as applicable.

responsibility Highlights
  • Determine clients’ goals and project requirements.
  • Attend project meetings with architectural team and clients.
  • Understand spatial relationships, space use needs and human interaction.
  • Prepare stories and develop creative project concepts using various media for client presentations.
  • Manage the project interior design process, which may include directing interior designers and other production staff.
  • Keep project design leaders, project managers and/or principals-in-charge apprised of critical project requirements and issues.
  • Create preliminary and final design plans using CADD software applications.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Specify appropriate materials and finishes as they relate to the project. Assist in developing project schedule and provide data for estimating project costs. Participate in budget meetings and value engineering processes on projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, constructions administration, contractors and others to ensure integrated services and design.
  • Review and provide details for shop drawings.
  • Visit project sites for field measurements, construction progress and installation of materials and FF&E. Work directly with client to assist in development of programming, including FF&E. Specify furnishings and appropriate materials for FF&E.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Interior Design required
  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience in interior design; minimum 5 years related work experience in commercial interior design
